Over the past 20 years, I’ve founded and grown several businesses across different sectors, each one teaching me valuable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and what it really takes to build something from the ground up.

My first venture was a retail business in the equestrian sector, launched with a modest bank loan and developed into one of the leading event retailers in the UK. At its peak, it was valued at over £2 million and successfully navigated the challenges of the 2008/09 recession. That experience gave me a deep understanding of startup growth, operations, and the realities of running a business through turbulent times.

Later, I launched Our Walkies Dog Walking, which quickly became the leading service of its kind in the local area. Over seven years, I built a trusted brand, scaled operations, and even weathered the challenges of COVID. It was a business rooted in consistency, customer service, and community reputation.

Each venture - whether a success or a setback - has added to my toolkit as a founder. I’ve learned how to spot opportunities, manage risk, and adapt when circumstances change. More importantly, I’ve developed the resilience and clarity that I now bring to supporting others on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

Which brings me to Stuart Ashley PA. This new chapter is about putting those hard‑won lessons, skills, and energy to work for others - helping founders and small business owners turn ideas into reality, and navigate the early years with confidence.
